Winter Basketball came and went, and now we’re ready for our Spring and Summer Seasons!
The Athletics staff has been busy kicking off Spring Volleyball and Flag Football after wrapping up another successful Winter Basketball season. As they prepare to welcome new athletics participants, we thought it fitting to highlight last season’s success.
Winter Basketball was a slam dunk last season as the league consisted of 110+ teams ranging from the 6-Year-Old Co-Ed League to the 14U Boys Teams League. Our participation numbers increased by 50% from last year’s numbers boasting around 1,000 participants playing in our winter league! These kids and volunteer coaches left it all on the court and brought home some gold!

As our athletic seasons continue, our participation numbers continue to rise! For our Spring Leagues, we are excited to have 830 participants in Flag Football and 350 athletes registered for Girls’ Volleyball. Our goal is to provide world-class experiences to all our athletes, and we can’t wait to see what the Spring leagues will accomplish.
Ready to see your child’s team play for a championship? Summer registration for Teams Basketball and Girls Volleyball is now open for residents and opens on April 17 for non-residents.
Winter Basketball sign-ups are racing down the court, so sign up your players before the buzzer goes off and the deadline passes!
The deadlines for the Winter Basketball season are Tuesday, October 25 for individual players and Monday, October 31 for teams. Here’s everything you need to know:
Individual Player Registration
Individuals can register independently before the deadline. Team selection is based on Coaches Look unless in Co-Ed 6-Year-Old League. Coaches Look is a mini combine for coaches to assess players before a team draft.
All players are assigned to a team and provided with a uniform. The games are on Saturdays.
Team Registration
If you already have an all-star team lined up, sign your team up by October 31. Teams must provide their own coach and light/ dark jerseys. All games are on Saturdays.

Coaches Meeting: November 10
Practice Begins: Week of November 28
Season Dates: December 3-February 11 (no games or practices December 19-31)
League Playoffs: February 18 (Top 4 Teams)
Volunteer Coaches Wanted
We are still looking for world-class leaders to motivate our players to keep their heads in the game. If you are interested in being a volunteer coach, please indicate that on your registration form. Coaching is a great way to give back to the community, mentor emerging leaders, and inspire a life-long love of Basketball!

Beat the winter blues by signing up for one of Southlake’s individual or team basketball leagues! Both leagues offer a range of age divisions for boys and girls.
Ages: By Division (Age as of September 1, 2018)
Cost: $85 per player
This recreational league is designed for individual players. Players will be drafted to teams by the City of Southlake, and coaches are required to play each player according to league rules.
Registration Closes: November 4
Coaches Meeting: November 13
Practices Begin: Week of November 26
Season Dates: December 1 – February 9
(No practices or games December 24 – January 5)
League Tournament: February 11 – 16

Parent Volunteer Coaches Needed!

Cost: $545 per team
Register as a team and compete against other formed teams in this more competitive recreational league. Coaches in this league are given more freedom to manage their teams with no minimum playing rules. All teams will play an 8-game season and top teams will advance to the playoffs. Teams must provide their own coach and uniforms, please register under head coaches name.
Rosters and birth certificates are due at the coaches meeting on November 14. Blank rosters can be found on Southlake’s TeamSideline page.
