October Classes for Preschool and Youth

Looking for some fun activities for your kids this fall? Check out these great classes for preschoolers and kids age 3-12. Now enrolling for October–register online today!


Preschool Classes

Preschool Ballet and Tap
Ages 3-5 – Fridays from 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
These classes will develop poise and coordination while teaching the fundamentals of ballet and tap. Classes create group interaction skills and support your child’s self-esteem and positive image. Children will also develop rhythm and music appreciation skills.

Tumbling and Sporties for Shorties
Ages 3-5 – Fridays from 10:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
This class teaches the fundamentals of gymnastics on a floor mat, while developing flexibility and strength. Children will learn beginning sport skills such as throwing, catching, kicking and even parachute exercises while also building self-esteem and positive image.

Silly Science
Ages 3-5 – Friday, October 25, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Eureka! Come, learn new and fun science experiments that will activate your senses and teach you new things! Come dressed as a scientist ready to begin experimenting with Silly Science!


Youth Classes

Chess Wizards
Ages 5-12 – Wednesdays from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Checkmate! Chess Wizards is offering specifically designed classes that cater to all levels of chess ability. Each child is challenged by fun games and lessons from real Wizard teachers.

Young Rembrandts
Ages 5-12 – Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Our drawing classes offer child-friendly and relevant subject matters to spark interest and increase knowledge retention. Through the process of weekly instruction, students are exposed to a wide variety or subject matter, artistic concepts and mastery of their materials.

Babysitting Certification Class (Ages 10-16): Looking to become a certified babysitter? Well look no further! This one-day program teaches the fundamentals of safety and childcare. Learn how to treat basic first aid emergencies, choking prevention, handle fire and safety emergencies, plan age appropriate activities and much more. At the conclusion of the class, you will have the opportunity to earn a certificate by demonstrating your mastery of the content.

Chess (Ages 6-16): This is a class open to children of all skill levels and abilities. Students will receive a half hour of supervised play and instruction. This class will teach the fundamentals of chess and introduce the use of notation, which is the ability to record one’s moves. Students will also learn tournament procedures and etiquette.

Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 5-18):  This Jiu-Jitsu program will develop children and preteens physically, emotionally and socially. Children will learn age-appropriate martial arts skills to prepare them to one day become a black-belt, a very high accomplishment and honor. This program also teaches important life skills such as respect, responsibility, self-esteem, confidence, discipline, heightened awareness and much more.
