The PIO was out of town for a vacation, so FINALLY here are some of the many calls and incidents we responded to for the weeks of September 23rd through October 6th, 2022:

--In a road rage incident, a suspect driving a Tesla cut off another driver and then slowed down and yelled and cussed at him for “driving a gas powered vehicle.”

--An officer conducted a business check at 500 North Kimball and found a vehicle occupied and running behind the business.  The driver was arrested for DWI Open Container and we recovered two stolen handguns.

--In a jugging offense, a victim left the Bank of America in Colleyville and stopped in Southlake to get some sushi.  When they came back to their car, the window was shattered and the $3,900 was stolen from the center console.

--Officers were dispatched to a fraud report call where the victim stated that a man called them from a Dallas PD phone number and said they needed to pay money or they would be detained from their children.  The victim transferred $20,000 to the suspect via ApplePay.  We contacted Dallas PD who stated they had not contacted the victim.  We are investigating this offense for Impersonating a Public Servant.

--There was a wrong way driver call around 2300 East Southlake Boulevard.  Officers located the vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes and arrested the driver for DWI Open Container.

--Officers stopped a vehicle on the westbound Highway 114 service road and smelled alcohol.  The driver was arrested for DWI, and when searched, we located cocaine in his pocket.  The driver had a no bond TCIC parole violation and was charged with DWI and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

--Two females entered the Coach store, and while one distracted the manager, the other stole five purses valued at $3,975.  Management was able to get a license plate, and we are working on getting footage.

On September 29th at around 8:30pm, officers were dispatched to a reckless driver call around 500 East Southlake Boulevard.  The caller said a Lexus was driving westbound all over the roadway, driving up on curbs, and almost running into other cars.  The Lexus turned northbound on North Peytonville and crashed into a ditch.  Officers caught up with it as it fled northbound out of the ditch and almost crashed into a tree in a front yard.  Officers conducted a felony stop and arrested the driver for DWI.
