Over the last few months, TxDOT contractor, Coppell Construction Company Inc. has been replacing the bridge over Big Bear Creek after it was determined through a condition assessment program the bridge was in need of replacement.
To date, the contractor has completed the installation of piers, abutment and pre-cast concrete members forming the bridge deck.
Until work is completed, a portion of S. White Chapel Boulevard near the Southlake/Colleyville border will remain closed.
Detours are provided around the work zone and are set up along Continental Boulevard and Brumlow Avenue in Southlake and along John McCain Road and SH 26 in Colleyville.
Access to the Bent Creek neighborhood will be maintained via S. White Chapel Boulevard and Creekway Bend.
This project is expected to be completed by June 2021, weather permitting.
