Cross streets to N. White Chapel Boulevard will be closed on Saturday, July 31.

Contractors will cut sections of the current roadway down so the existing intersections are at the same elevation as the southbound lanes.

This portion of the project should be completed within one day, weather permitting.

Once this portion has been completed, traffic will be switched back to the southbound lanes and work will commence on the northbound lanes.

To stabilize the sub-base, a cement-treated base may be required.

Contractors will utilize the temporary batch plant located at the N. White Chapel Boulevard and E. Highland Street intersection to provide any needed concrete material to decrease the time between the different phases of the paving process, weather permitting.

The N. White Chapel Widening Project is estimated to cost $17 million and is scheduled to be completed by spring 2022, weather permitting.
