As the school year approaches, we would like to send a special thank you to our volunteers who served the Southlake community during their summer break.

Our volunteers are an important resource. They contribute thousands of hours each year to help aid, serve and enhance our programs and events.

This summer, our volunteers donated their time and talents to the Southlake Public Library, The Marq Southlake, Metroport Teen Court and the Police and Fire Departments.

They also contributed time at our Independence Day celebration, Stars and Stripes.

“The City of Southlake is so thankful to have a devoted group of volunteers that help make the City thrive,” Volunteer Coordinator Lindy Calzada said. “We would also like to extend a special thanks to our partners, the Young Men’s Service League, Southlake Sister Cities and the National Chair Charity League. It’s because of those organizations we were able to partake in the parade for Hailey Hernandez.  “We could not have made this happen without our volunteers.”

Interested in volunteering? Please visit VolunteerSouthlake.com or contact Volunteer Coordinator, Lindy Calzada at 817-748-8035 or email vo*******@*************tx.us.  For more information about Volunteer Southlake, sign up for their e-newsletter.
