The City of Southlake is proud to be the recipient of the 2020 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Award from the National Procurement Institute (NPI).

Southlake is one of just 69 cities in the United States to receive the award in 2020.

“This is the ninth time that we have won this award from the National Procurement Institute,” said Chief Financial Officer Sharen Jackson. “City staff, led by Purchasing Manager Tim Slifka and Accounting Assistant Denise Artho, work daily to maximize the purchasing power of taxpayer dollars. We are very pleased to be recognized.”

According to NPI, the AEP Award is earned by public and non-profit agencies that demonstrate a commitment to procurement excellence. This annual program recognizes organizations that embrace Innovation, Professionalism, Productivity, Leadership, and e-Procurement. The award program is in its 25th year.
