From February 3 – 28, Corporal Delaney Green attended the ILEA Leadership Academy along with officers from across the nation. The Academy was held here in Southlake, at the DPS North Station.
“I am proud of Corporal Green’s accomplishments and I look forward to her leadership in our department for many years to come,” Chief James Brandon said.
ILEA (Institute for Law Enforcement Administration) was established in 1957 and has become one of the premier learning centers for law enforcement executives, managers, and supervisors. During the month-long course, 120 hours of training is provided and includes some of the following topics: Accountability, Statistics, Leadership Styles, Diversity Leadership, etc. The institute’s mission is to provide top quality, academically based, challenging programs in a professional educational environment.
“The City of Southlake and Southlake PD has supported me over the past six years in advancing my professional career in Law Enforcement through continued education and training courses,” Corporal Green said. “ILEA is just another example of the continued support and investment that Southlake PD puts into their officers and supervisors. As a new supervisor, this academically based course helped to establish a firm foundation in leadership ethics and administrative processes. I feel honored to have been able to attend and be a part of the 130th class of police supervision.”
