Intersection Improvements Pick Up During Spring Break

The Southlake Mobility Team’s Intersection Improvements Project is making major headway! Construction is set to expand from the Dove Road at Kirkwood Boulevard intersection to the N. Carroll Avenue at Federal Way and N. Carroll Avenue at Ownby Lane intersections during the week of spring break, starting March 14.

The project includes median and pavement enhancements, pavement markings, updated signage, and crosswalk improvements.

 

Dove Road and Kirkwood Boulevard

Construction for the Dove Road at Kirkwood intersection started in late February 2022.

So far, contractors have completed sidewalk and median removals and performed conduit placement.

Carroll Avenue and Federal Way

Improvements to the intersections of N. Carroll Avenue and Federal Way and N. Carroll Avenue at Ownby Lane are set to start during the week of spring break.

At the N. Carroll Avenue intersections, contractors will perform sidewalk and median removal, conduit placement, and upgrade pedestrian facilities.

This project is expected to be completed by May 2022, weather permitting.
