Governor Greg Abbott has requested a “major disaster declaration” from President Biden to allow for federal government funds to assist in recovery efforts from the 2021 winter storm.

As part of the recovery process, Governor Abbott has announced a statewide initiative to collect damage assessment data. This information is being collected to help officials across the state gain an understanding of damages that have occurred during the recent winter weather.

The state has launched a “Self-Reporting Tool” for local citizens and businesses to report damages caused by the recent winter storm.

If you have experienced any damage or have been adversely impacted by, we encourage you to visit the link below to report your damage.

Please submit one survey per impacted address. Reporting damages to State  Emergency Management is a voluntary activity, is not a substitute for reporting damage to your insurance agency, and does not guarantee disaster relief assistance.
