Volunteer at Stars and Stripes!

Looking for a great way to support your community and attend an awesome event at the same time? We can help you, volunteer for The City of Southlake’s 18th annual Stars & Stripes event!

There are many different opportunities to serve. Do you like crafting, you can help as a craft and activity Booth Attendants to assist families in making  fun experiences creations. Do you like to meet and visit with new people? You can serve as an Information Attendants at the shuttle drop off locations or as a Line Attendants to help maintain line integrity when waiting for special areas.

See something you like and are interested in helping? You can should register online at, or if you have volunteered with us in the past, sign up on VicNet!  After registering, volunteers will have a short briefing on Wednesday, June 29, from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. at The Marq Southlake to select their volunteer position and learn more about their role for the day of the event. Light snacks will be provided.

Stars & Stripes occurs the following Sunday, July 3, from 5 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. Parking will be limited, so all volunteers are encouraged to use the 4 p.m. shuttle from White’s Chapel Church to ensure they have plenty of time to check in, and make it to your assignment in time.

We understand the commitment it takes to serve at such a huge event and to express our thanks and keep you strong and healthy, we will be providing dinner for everyone serving.

Approximately 34 volunteers are needed to assist in making Stars & Stripes the best it can be. All volunteers Must be at least 15 years or older to participate. Learn more about Stars & Stripes at

Star Treatment During Stars and Stripes

Back by popular demand, you and your family can enjoy reserved seating in Frank Edgar Cornish IV Park with live entertainment and fantastic fireworks viewing.  The Star Experience, sponsored by Del Frisco’s Grille, will also provide the closest seats to the live entertainment featuring, The Lone Star Attitude Band and Limelight from 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

This year we have two sections to choose from; Red Star Experience and Blue Star Experience.  The Red Star Experience will offer the best seats in the house closest to the stage with an optimal view of the Fireworks at 9:30 PM.  Your reservation will grant you a table of four, an assorted dish of appetizers and four bottles of water provided by Del Frisco’s Grille.  A table consists of 4 chairs for a total of $100.00.

The new area will be the Blue Star Experience also located in Frank Edgar Cornish IV, Park behind the fountain in the street between retail buildings. Similar to the Red Star Experience, guests will enjoy a fantastic view of the fireworks but will have an obstructed view of the stage, though still be within dancing distance! Your reservation will grant you a table of four, an assorted dish of appetizers and four bottles of water provided by Del Frisco’s Grille.  A table consists of 4 chairs for a total of $75.00.

This will be the 18th annual Stars and Stripes that will provide families with live entertainment, food trucks, balloon artists, inflatables, crafts & games, and more. Join Mayor Laura Hill, during the patriotic ceremony at 8:00 PM in Family Park as we recognize local veterans with a 21 gun salute and national anthem sung by Miss Outstanding Teen Southlake Madison Zandt.

Arrive promptly between 5:15 – 6:00 PM with your receipt to check in with a staff member in Frank Edgar Cornish Park near Brio Restaurant and Chico’s store.  If you do not have a receipt, staff will ask for the registrant’s photo ID to match to the Star Experience list. Once checked in the staff member will give your family a wristband for easy access to come and go.
