The Southlake Arts Council is thrilled to announce the return of the Southlake Presents Art Show and Competition, an award-winning exhibit that celebrates the creativity of Southlake’s talented resident artists.

We’re calling all Southlake-based artists to submit their finest work for an opportunity to be featured in this prestigious community exhibit. Your art will be displayed in the Southlake Town Hall lobby for residents and visitors to admire from May 2, 2025, to June 27, 2025.

Rules and Eligibility

Age: Artists must be 18+ and high school graduates.
Residency: Proof of residence within Southlake city limits or Carroll ISD is required.
Submission Guidelines:
- Up to three recent works (produced in the last two years).
- Must be 2D, original, and family-appropriate.
- Size requirements: Minimum 24"x24", maximum 60"x70".
- Pieces must be framed, wired, and ready to hang.

Submission Deadline: March 21, 2025

This year, we’re excited to showcase the captivating work of local artist Bethany Klein, whose pieces beautifully blend her love for animals, nature, and the surreal.

Bethany’s passion for art has been a lifelong journey, beginning in her childhood. Over the years, her artistic style has evolved from realism to more dreamlike surrealism, allowing her to tap into the imaginative wonder she remembers from her youth. Her work invites viewers to experience the natural world through a lens of creativity and whimsy.

This event is the perfect opportunity to meet Bethany in person, explore her latest creations, and immerse yourself in the enchanting world she portrays. Whether you’re a seasoned art lover or simply looking for an inspiring way to spend a Sunday afternoon, this reception is one you won’t want to miss. Plus, light refreshments will be provided to enhance your experience.

Bethany’s work will be displayed in the Town Hall Lobby from September 20th until November 1^st.

The Southlake Arts Council, in collaboration with the APEX Arts League, is currently accepting applications for this year's Southlake Presents art show and competition. This prestigious event, held at Southlake Town Hall, exclusively showcases the exceptional talent of Southlake residents.

Southlake Presents captures the range of Southlake’s talent through this innovative public art exhibit that exclusively features art by Southlake residents.

Don’t wait until the last minute to apply! The competition gets harder every year and this is a great way to get public exposure for your work in a world-class community facility.

Applications are now open and close on Friday, March 22. The Southlake Arts Council will jury all submissions and select the finalists towards the end of March.

Selected work will be displayed in the Town Hall Lobby from May 17, to June 28. A public art reception will take place on May 19 at 5:00 PM.

Rules and Eligibility:

Artists must be 18 years old or over and have graduated from high school.
Must provide proof of residence within Southlake City limits.
Artists can submit up to three recent works for consideration. (Recent means produced within the last two years).
Work must be 2D and ready to hang. (Ready to hang means framed and wired for hanging. Unprepared work will not be displayed).
Work must be original and created by the artists. We require pieces greater than 24x24 in., but not larger than 60x70 inches.
Previous applicants are welcome to apply again but must submit new pieces from the previous year.
Work must be “family appropriate,” with no sexual, bloody, or violent content allowed.

The Southlake Arts Council wants to remind you that the submission deadline for Southlake Presents is coming soon! Wrap up your final creations, and submit your digital application by Friday, March 24!

The Southlake Presents Art Show and Competition will showcase our local professional artist community for all to see in Southlake Town Hall. I’m looking forward to seeing different art and a variety of work from people in the community. Maybe they’ve never shown their pieces in public before.
