The Southlake Library, in partnership with Kaplan Test Prep, is offering high school students the opportunity to take practice exams for both the ACT and the new version of the SAT for free. The event will be held on Saturday, November 14, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the meeting rooms located on the third floor of Southlake Town Hall. The Carroll Dragons, Class 5A Division I defending state champions, held their first day of practice Monday morning at Carroll Senior High School. Monday marked the first day of practice for Class 5A teams that held spring workouts.
The Dragons return quarterback Kenny Hill this season along with a host of key players from last year’s state championship. The Dragons will scrimmage at Duncanville Friday, Aug. 24.
The season opener is Friday, Aug. 31 at Allen High School, which will mark the opening of the Eagles’ new 18,000-seat stadium.
The Carroll Dragon football team opened spring practice Monday, April 30 at the Carroll Senior High School practice fields. Spring practice will conclude Thursday with the annual Dragon Spring Game at 7 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. The Dragons are coming off winning the Class 5A Division I state championship with a 16-0 record. The Dragons return several key contributors from last season including quarterback Kenny Hill, who commited to Texas A&M last weekend.
