Since 2007, Copeland’s at Hilton Dallas/Southlake Town Square has been bringing the best of New Orleans to Dallas Fort Worth with authentic cuisine, specialty martinis and punch bowls, live jazz, crawfish boils, and Mardi Gras celebrations. With the completion of its four week renovation, Copeland’s now looks and feels even more like the Crescent City. The restaurant has reopened for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The renovation transformed the restaurant’s dining and bar areas with new carpet, tables and chairs, lighting, artwork and private dining/party areas. Setting the French Quarter scene is a 10 foot wall mural of Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral in the dining room, which has been reconfigured to accommodate both large and small groups with two tops, four tops and banquette seating. Wrought iron accents and gas lamps mounted on the wall further enhance The Big Easy atmosphere.
One of the most notable changes is the expanded 360 degree bar with 100 feet of Chroma bar top that is fiber optically lit and can be changed to a rainbow of colors, including Southlake Carroll Dragon green for game nights. The bar retained its popular frosted taps that serve eight liquors at five degrees Fahrenheit and its signature ice bar which keeps beverages frosty cold upon serving. An illuminated three-foot-tall fleur de lis inside the bar is a tribute to the restaurant’s New Orleans roots. Appealing to the sports fan, there are four 50″ flat screen televisions in the bar and adjoining lounge area. A partial wall separates the bar area and dining room with four banquettes for dining in the bar area, which can also be reserved for private groups.
“Our goal is to have a restaurant that appeals to the business traveler who is dining alone, meeting planner who wants a convenient place to host a group event, and a fun place for locals to hang out after a Carroll Dragons football game,” he said, noting the restaurant’s private dining room is still available.
Although the look has changed, Copeland’s menu of New Orleans-style cuisine remains the same with favorites such as eggplant pirogue, jambalaya pasta, po-boy sandwiches and an array of USDA prime steaks. New menu items will be announced later this fall.

Copeland’s Southlake, located inside the Hilton Dallas/Southlake Town Square, is getting a new look. The New Orleans-style restaurant will undergo a complete renovation of its dining room and lounge area beginning August 5; anticipated re-opening date is early September.
During the renovation, a temporary dining room will be setup in the lobby of the Hilton Dallas/Southlake Town Square for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A modified menu of Copeland’s traditional and most popular items will be served. The bar will be moved to the entrance of Copeland’s, which will be separated from the construction area by a temporary wall.
The renovation will completely transform the restaurant’s dining and bar areas with new carpet, tables and chairs, light fixtures, and artwork including a French Quarter mural. A wall currently separating the dining and lounge areas will be removed to provide a more open, contemporary concept. In addition, the bar will be expanded to a full circle to provide more seating. The new design will also feature new semi-private dining areas, banquette seating, and an expanded dining lounge.
Although the look is changing, Copeland’s menu of New Orleans-style cuisine will stay the same with new additions to both the dining room and bar menus. To kick-off the renovation, a Bourbon Street Party will be held August 3, 7:00pm-11pm, featuring a barbecue shrimp boil and live jazz by Greg Luce.
