The Senior Activity Center hosted another fun outdoor event for Southlake’s seniors.
The Senior Center has been hard at work developing engaging and safe programs for Southlake’s seniors. Now that the weather is warmer, the focus of senior programming has shifted to outdoor events. This Friday, seniors were in for a treat with an outdoor Tai Chi class hosted in the Aria Amphitheater outside Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake. Rain or shine, our seniors were ready to get in the action!
Tai Chi is a popular exercise focused on breathing and slow movements. Its emphasis on core, balance, and breathing makes it an excellent practice to reduce stress, improve sleep, and strengthen balance. Our seniors had a great time getting outside and learning from our Senior Volunteer members.
The Senior Activity Center is committed to providing the Southlake community with world-class outdoor programming throughout Spring and Summer. Our Outside Series includes Tai Chi, Zumba, and social opportunities such as the Senior Walking Club. We love empowering our seniors to take ownership of the programs they want to see in Southlake. Whether it’s a curbside lunch pickup or outdoor entertainment, creating life-long memories is our goal.
If you enjoyed this program, make sure to keep an eye on the Senior Activity Center website for more fun outdoor programs!
