Summertime is the season of love, flowers, and sunshine, and if you are engaged and looking for the ideal spot to say, “I Do,” look no further than Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake!

At Legends Hall, we’re obsessed with creating life-long memories by helping you execute the wedding of your dreams. Located in the heart of Southlake, Texas, our masterfully designed state-of-the-art venue features 23,000 square feet of event space. Legends Hall is gorgeous any time of year, but since it is summer, we want to share a few reasons why getting married in July and August is a great idea.

Sure, Texas summers are hot, but its many benefits beat the heat. Here are just a few reasons to consider a summer 2022 celebration:

Guest Availability is Increased
Summer weddings are ideal because school is out, and parents don’t have to worry about keeping up with their children’s academic schedules. Not only is there no school, but guests tend to have fewer family holiday commitments as there aren't as many holidays during the summer months. Because of this, you can ensure that you get more RSVPs than “Regretfully Declines.” You want your wedding day to be a celebration to remember with all the most important people in your life. Hosting a summer wedding increases the chances of your loved ones being available, and Legends Hall is here to help you every step of the way.

You Get Your Pick of Florals
Because many popular flowers are in bloom during the summer, your floral options won’t be limited. As a bonus, easier accessibility to flowers will likely mean you’ll get a better deal. Flowers are the perfect complement to our beautiful event spaces at Legends Hall.

Stunning Photo Opportunities
Texas Sunsets are second to none. With summer days lasting longer than any other time of the year, you’ll have plenty of time to capture your picture-perfect moment. Legends Hall boasts a plethora of unique backdrops for your Insta-worthy pictures! A crowd-favorite is the gorgeous outdoor Aria Amphitheater which overlooks a stunning pedestrian bridge and our award-winning Bicentennial Park.

Summer outdoor weddings indeed look gorgeous in pictures. If you want to avoid the Texas sun, Legends Hall offers unique indoor spaces perfect for your celebration. Get ready in our beautiful bridal Lounge & Parlor, host a cocktail reception in the Club Lounge, and dance the night away in the Traditions Ballroom! Our rental fees include banquet, cocktail tables, neutral-toned padded banquet chairs, audiovisual capabilities, table linens, napkins, and an elegant centerpiece for your event.

If you’re recently engaged and looking to plan a summer 2022 wedding, then make sure to check out Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake. Save the Date as our Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Learn more here, and book a tour today!

Spring is just around the corner and that means that event season is almost here!

Are you interested in safely hosting an end-of-year banquet, graduation, or birthday celebration? Perhaps you recently said, “I do,” and are on the hunt for the perfect wedding destination. Whatever the occasion may be, Legends Hall invites you to visit us on Sunday, March 7 for our Sip and See event.

Tour our award-winning venue with Legends Hall experts and get the answers you need to plan your big event! Join us for some light bites from one of our local favorites, Scratch Catering and Fine Foods, along with some drinks served from one of our very own preferred vendors–HD Liquid Catering. Admission is FREE.

When you plan your celebration with us, you can rest assured that our staff always keeps your safety top of mind. Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake is operating under state and CDC guidelines limiting to 50% capacity, requiring face coverings, providing hand sanitizer, and more to ensure the safety of each guest.

We can’t forget to mention that Legends Hall is currently offering 10% off all Event Packages for 2021 dates through March 31, 2021. This is a fantastic savings of up to $1,000! Our Spring and Summer dates are filling up quickly, and we only have a handful of prime Saturdays available in the Fall.

Say yes to being impressed and let go of planning stress! We look forward to seeing you at Legends Hall.

Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but denim is a love that never fades!

Valentine’s Day arrived early in Southlake as families celebrated love and friendship at the annual Sweetheart Dance on Saturday, February 13 at Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake. Crafts, cookie decorating, and dancing ensured that a dazzling time was had by all as Southlake’s finest arrived decked out in denim and diamonds!

While the beloved annual event looked a little different this year, Southlake Community Services employees were determined to put on a fun and safe celebration.

Masks were worn, tables were reserved for individual households, and guests rotated between fun craft activities and dancing to ensure safe social distancing. Two identical dance sessions were held during the night to allow more families to celebrate love responsibly.

“The Sweetheart Dance went very well this year!” said Programs Coordinator, Gretchen Morgan. “We had some very positive reviews from our attendees this year including loving our creative layout and appreciating that food was brought to them. While we were concerned about the weather, we had a large turnout, and it was rewarding to see the event come to fruition. I want to give special thanks to our sponsors: Chick-fil-A, Ethan Allen, and CommunityMed Family Urgent Care! I am also proud of the team that made this event possible. From setting up the decorations, taking guests to their tables, to managing volunteers and getting the party started on the dancefloor, this event would not have been possible without the hard work and support of our incredible staff and volunteers.”

Safe and memorable family programming like the Sweetheart Dance is just one example of how the Southlake Community Services department enriches the quality of life for Southlake residents. Delivering remarkable experiences to our residents is simply the Southlake Way!

Stay on top of all Family Programs!

Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake is making a name for itself as the premier North Texas wedding destination. True to its world-class promise, Legends Hall recently received several top honors.

In January, Society Life magazine selected Legends Hall as the Number One Wedding and Events Venue in North East Tarrant County. This is a monumental accomplishment for Legends Hall as it vied against numerous local private and non-profit competitors. This recognition would not have been possible without the support of residents who nominated and voted for Legends Hall in a web-based survey hosted by Society Life Magazine.

When asked why she chose Legends Hall, one local bride raved:

“We chose Legends Hall for a few reasons. One HUGE benefit was the option to choose our caterer and alcohol services. This allowed us to save money and have our favorite restaurants cater our wedding. We also loved the versatility of the space, such as the option to do an outdoor or indoor ceremony, cocktail hour either in the hallway or outdoors, a bar area to keep the drink lines short, and a huge space for the actual hall. We were able to have a large wedding with a large dance floor without going above our budget!”
- Alyza Sunny, Legends Hall Bride

The honors don’t stop there! Brides of North Texas magazine recently revealed their new Spring/Summer Edition which featured an October Legends Hall Wedding. Long-time Southlake residents, the Bond family chose Legends Hall because they knew it was the perfect destination to celebrate this joyous occasion.

“The Marq was extremely helpful and communicative during the uncertain months of the pandemic leading up to our wedding. They walked us through several options and accommodations, allowing us to have our wedding the way we always envisioned, and in a safe way for our guests. Their kindness and professionalism contributed to a stress-free and fun planning process, as well as an incredible wedding weekend!”
- Jessica Bond, Southlake Resident and Legends Hall Bride

Their beautiful wedding is highlighted in this season’s magazine through the end of May.

If you’re engaged and looking for a world-class venue, tour Legends Hall during their Sip & See event on Sunday, March 7th. Enjoy light bites and drinks as you get all your planning questions answered by Legends Hall Event Specialists. Take advantage of 10% off all 2021 packages if you book now through March 31st!

Be a part of something great. Experience how grand your wedding can be at Legends Hall!

We’re excited to announce that next on the list is the reopening of The Marq Southlake. Following Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order on recreation and exercise facilities, waterparks and event venues, The Marq Southlake will open in accordance with the maximum 25% capacity guidelines.

The Community Services department has continued to take steps to safely restore parks and recreation-related services and programs. The next big step is the reopening of Champions Club on Saturday, May 30, at 9 a.m. and Legends Hall on Monday, June 1 at 9 a.m.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in a safe environment and encourage everyone to abide by state regulations. We also ask that you be patient as we work through required protocols and protective measures to ensure your safety. The seating area has also been modified to accommodate physical distancing guidelines and coffee services have been eliminated. The Child Watch area has been expanded to provide separate spaces for children 4 years old and younger and children 5 years old and older.

The fitness floor and aquatic center have been modified to accommodate physical distancing and capacity requirements. In addition, the number of group fitness classes has been reduced.

In an effort to protect our older and more vulnerable citizens, all Senior Activity Center programming has been canceled. Staff has been trained on new policies and procedures and will engage in enhanced cleaning and disinfection practices so that we can open safely and in the best interest of seniors when the time is right.
