Due to recent storm related outages and customer service inquiries ONCOR has made the decision to perform an unplanned comprehensive tree trim of the Kimball feeder line.
This initiative will touch every overhead line along the Kimball feeder line, excluding services to homes, in both Grapevine and Southlake. The majority of the work will be taking place in Grapevine.
ONCOR will begin some immediate work starting July 14th, 2016 in Grapevine and will eventually move towards Southlake. As far as communicating with impacted properties, ONCOR will institute a combination of knocking on doors, as well as placing pre-notifier door hanging tags, to let property owners know of the expected trimming. Since this feeder line covers over 20 miles of line, ONCOR expects the work to take between 3 weeks to a month utilizing 15 crews working at a time.
It is anticipated that this comprehensive tree trim will greatly increase the reliability of electrical service to all customers serviced from the Kimball feeder line.
