Here are some of the many calls and incidents we responded to for the week of August 5th through August 11th, 2022:

–Officers arrested a suspect who attempted to cash a $2,500 fraudulent check at First Financial Bank.  The suspect had been successful in cashing one in Grapevine.

— There was a wrong way driver on Highway 114 at the Grapevine/Southlake border.  Officers located the car and worked with Grapevine PD to track down the suspect, who was arrested for DWI.

–Three pool cleaners were stolen from three separate houses.  There have been 5+ similar thefts in the last few weeks (Facebook post coming next week).

–An unknown female stole 7 bottles of syrup from Central Market.

–Officers worked with Keller Police on threats to the Urban Air at 2201 West Southlake Boulevard.  We made sure the business was safe and made a Terroristic Threat charge.

–We were dispatched to the Delta Marriott on a welfare check for a suspect passed out on the 6th floor of the hotel.  After investigating, we found they had caused a disturbance at the bar and later passed out by an ice machine.  When located, the suspect became combative and resisted arrest.  The suspect was arrested for Public Intoxication.

–A Chrysler crashed into a street sign near Chuy’s and fled the scene.  Officers located the driver and arrested them for DWI and Duty Upon Striking Fixed Object (fancy way of saying causing damage and fleeing).

–We located a stolen vehicle at the east side QT during a business check.

–Multiple officers sat on the hiring boards to find new candidates for the department.

–Officers made contact with a suspect who committed Theft by Deception at Home Depot.  The suspect ran from the officers, who caught up to them on the Highway 114 service road.  They were arrested for Evading and Attempted Theft.

On Wednesday, August 10th, shortly after 10:00am, Southlake Police were dispatched to a reported stabbing around 2000 West Southlake Boulevard.  Officers located all parties involved, including the alleged suspect.

The incident initially began as a verbal dispute between two delivery truck drivers and quickly devolved into a physical fight involving a knife.  A total of 3 people were transported by ambulance to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Grapevine.  One 46-year-old male sustained a stab wound to his abdomen and is currently in stable condition.  In addition, two other men, a 26-year-old and a 30-year-old, received non-life-threatening cuts to their arm and hand.

No arrests have been made at this point, and the incident is still under investigation.
