The City of Southlake has remained dedicated to ensuring the efficiency and reliability of its water distribution system. This dedication was reiterated at a City Council meeting on May 2, 2023. During that meeting, the City awarded a construction contract for improving the Water Distribution System at South Pearson Lane, Union Church Road, and East Dove Road.

By implementing the enhancements, the City will improve the quality of water services offered to residents and commercial establishments. It will also further guarantee that the current system can accommodate the ever-increasing demands of the expanding community.

The plan involves installing a 12-inch water pipe on South Pearson Lane, starting just below Chesapeake Lane and reaching Union Church Road. Another 12-inch water line will also be fitted on East Dove Road, starting from East of Estes Park Drive to the West of North Carroll Avenue, to connect Oak Bend Court to Carroll Middle School.

Map of upcoming water distribution improvements

Construction work will start in the summer of 2023 and is estimated to be finished by winter 2024, weather permitting. Commuters should be prepared for occasional lane closures during working hours.

Funds for this project will be sourced from the Capital Improvement Project Budget.
