Southlake Celebrates Stellar Volunteers with 2024 Awards Recognition Ceremony

The Southlake City Council honored volunteers for exemplary service at the latest meeting.

Behind any City of Southlake event or program is a group of dedicated volunteers with hearts for service. These unsung heroes keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes and are an integral piece of what helps our city thrive. At the May 20th City Council meeting, these volunteers were honored with awards for their service.

We have almost 1,200 volunteers who in this last year served 23,743 hours, giving back to their community with a service value of over $750,000 dollars. This is a huge impact these volunteers have on the City of Southlake.

— Assistant City Manager Stacey Black said at the ceremony
