Southlake Police Chief Brandon Promotes, Awards, Swears In Officers

On Friday, December 1st, the Police Department held a ceremony in which officers were sworn in, promoted, and awarded various honors.

Officer Joseph Lang came to the Southlake Police Department as a lateral officer from the Keller Police Department with over 6 years of experience.  He will now enter an abbreviated Field Training Officer (FTO) program on the streets of Southlake with a veteran officer.

Chief Brandon also swore in Officer Mike Hager, a lateral officer who came from the Bedford Police Department with over 30 years of law enforcement experience.  Officer Hager will also enter an abbreviated FTO program with a veteran officer.

In addition to swearing in the two lateral officers, Chief Brandon also presented 2023 quarterly awards and the prestigious Meritorious Conduct award to the following officers:

–Officers James Lucky and Ken Richardson, Officers of the Quarter for Q2

–Officer Arianna Martinez, Officer of the Quarter for Q3

–K9 Officer Nate Anderson, Officer of the Quarter for Q4

–Captain Blas Hernandez, Meritorious Conduct

–Sergeant Gaylon Music, Meritorious Conduct

–Sergeant Stefan Petrovich, Meritorious Conduct

–Sergeant Micah Davis, Meritorious Conduct

–Corporal Craig D’Amico, Meritorious Conduct

–Officer Brent Carlson, Meritorious Conduct

–Officer Corey Rattan, Meritorious Conduct

Lastly, Chief Brandon promoted four officers to supervisory roles.  “These four leaders will move into positions that will help shape our next generation of police officers, and ensure that the Southlake Police Department remains a great place to work,” Chief Brandon said.

–Officer Ray Sewell, promoted to Corporal

–Officer Dakota Mowdy, promoted to Corporal

–Corporal Myles Jenkins, promoted to Sergeant

–Corporal Nikki Roop, promoted to Sergeant
